SW Regional League:
Thomas Libih Intervens To Rescue Options SA
By Basil K Mbuye
Former Cameroon Under-17 coach and 1990 FIFA World Cup hero, Thomas Libih has stepped in to rescue Southwest Regional League side, Options Sports Academy, to book a spot in the Mini Interpools.
The legend, who was in Limbe alongside Francois Omam Biyik and a host of others on the invitation of Options Sports president – Awantoh Henry Neba, decided to give the club a helping hand after Victoria United beat them 2-0 to slim their Mini Interpools chances.
Thomas Libih recently had his first training session with Options Sports Academy players at the Limbe Community Field. Options Sports has been without a coach for weeks after the club’s hierarchy sacked the technical bench.
With just a game at hand to be played this weekend against Best Stars Academy, Options Sports has no room for mistakes.
Meanwhile, supporters and players of Options Sports Academy have thanked the club’s management for bringing in a reputable coach like Thomas Libih.
After the game this weekend, Libih will be leaving for Djibouti to begin a new challenge with Djibouti champions, Arta Solar 7.
